What type of sailing instruction is available?
If you are new to sailing, you can if you wish to learn the basics in a relaxed environment, with someone to guide you all the way. All yacht crew will be happy to show you which ropes to pull, to hoist and how to adjust the sails.
If you already have sailing experience, then our cabin charter trips are the perfect opportunity to hone those skills and build miles in the warm tropical waters of the Caribbean.
What experience do I need to go on a sailing holiday?
Most of our sailing trips are suitable for complete beginners. If you have never been on a yacht before but would like to understand what it is like on a boat, why not try the Yacht Charter Crew Course we Sam and Neil wrote for NauticEd. It will prepare you perfectly for a sailing holiday on any yacht.
What is NauticEd?
NauticEd provides globally recognised sailing education and sailing certifications. If you are looking to fully understand the sailing theory – from the very basics with the Yacht Chater Crew Course written by Sam and Neil, all the way to the highest level certification (Captain), or gain a local or international sailing certification, NauticEd is a great option.

What is the RYA?
The RYA is the Royal Yachting Association, it is the governing body that endorses the Professional Sailing Qualifications that many of your crew will have, including Neil and Sam who run BlueFoot Travel.
