Caribbean Cabin Charter in Antigua & Barbuda
Trip 4 - Sunday 27 March to Wednesday 6 April 2022
Join Bones and Anna on Emily Morgan for an incredible Caribbean Cabin Charter around Antigua and Barbuda. This yacht charter sees us hitting the top spots in Antigua & Barbuda including Great Bird Island and Green Island. This is a great way for those of you travelling solo, as couples or a small group to enjoy a private yacht charter, but only pay the cost of booking a berth in a cabin. We invite you to get hands-on sailing practice in paradise with two professional sailors.
Changes may take place due to government travel advisories, guest requests and weather conditions.
Day | Schedule |
---|---|
1 | Meet your crew Bones and Anna, as well as your fellow guests in Jolly Harbour Marina, Antigua. Jolly Harbour is approximately 45 minutes in a taxi from the airport. Once you are settled in your cabin on board Emily Morgan we will have our guest briefing and head out to anchor with Five Islands as our backdrop and our first dinner under the stars. |
2 | We will set sail for Hermitage Bay, a beautiful and secluded anchorage for lunch. This will give us a chance to let anyone who wants a chance to work the ropes and helm Emily Morgan. Then we will head to Deep Bay, home to the wreck of the Andes, and a great spot for a snorkel. We will have dinner on board. |
3 | Great Bird Island is our sailing destination today, and it is a perfect spot for snorkelling, SUPing and relaxing. To get there we must tack up Boon Channel which is great fun and will give us all a workout! Hike up to the top of Great Bird Island and get great views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea and watch the birds having fun in the thermals. The beaches on the island are incredible so don’t forget to bring your swimwear! Dinner will be on board. |
4 | A real change of scene today as we sail to Dickenson Bay. This is one of the most popular areas on the island, boasting many top-tier hotels and resorts. The vast sugar-sand beach that extends across the bay offers idyllic conditions for swimming, sunbathing and is lined with laid-back establishments perfect for bar-hopping. We will head ashore for dinner tonight. |
5 | A longer sail day today as we head to Barbuda and plenty of time for anyone who wants to take the helm. The aim is to reach Low Bay when the sun is high in the sky. Our evening meal will be served on board. Once we get there, we can take a walk along the stunning beach and jump into the cool turquoise waters. |
6 | Relax in the hammock or head ashore to visit the Frigate Bird Sanctuary, which is located in the Codrington Lagoon. Then we will take a short sail down to Cocoa Bay. Here you can snorkel and paddleboard or simply lay back on the incredible beach. Dinner will be on board or ashore. |
7 | We will sail back to Antigua and beautiful Green Island today. This will be quite a long sail and we will be sailing along the west coast, so lots of new views to take in as you practice your sailing skills. Uninhabited and unspoiled Green Island is a great hideaway located just off the eastern coast of Antigua. This is a popular snorkelling and kite surfing destination. We will have dinner on board tonight. |
8 | A downwind sail to the historic English Harbour which was inscribed in 2016 as a UNESCO world heritage site and is home to Nelson’s Dockyard, a fully restored 18th-century working dockyard. In days gone by, Nelson would keep his fleet here and there is a museum dedicated to his memory and has some fascinating exhibits. We will head ashore for our dinner and get to sample some of the great local cuisines. |
9 | After a morning exploring we will sail to Carlisle Bay. This beautiful secluded cove is a perfect place to go snorkelling and see turtles. We can also pop ashore to the exclusive resort for some cocktails before we have our last dinner on board. |
10 | A leisurely sail back into Jolly Harbour inside Cades Reef will give you a chance to hone all the sailing skills you have learnt during the week. We will arrive in time for a noon (12 PM) departure to the airport from the marina. |
