Day | Schedule |
---|---|
1 | Meet your crew in Jolly Harbour Marina, Antigua. Jolly Harbour is approximately 45 minutes in a taxi from the airport. Once you are settled on your crew will provide a guest briefing and then you will set sail for Hermitage Bay, a beautiful and secluded anchorage for your first night. Enjoy a dip and then a delicious dinner on board prepared by your chef. |
2 | Two stops in store for you today. The first stop is Deep Bay, home to the wreck of the Andes, and a great spot for a snorkel. Then a real change of scene as you sail to Dickenson Bay. This is one of the most popular areas on the island, boasting many top-tier hotels and resorts. The vast sugar-sand beach that extends across the bay offers idyllic conditions for swimming, sunbathing and is lined with laid-back establishments perfect for bar-hopping. Enjoy a few sundowners ashore and if you like also dinner or head back on board for your evening meal. |
3 | Beautiful Great Bird Island is your sailing destination today, and it is a perfect spot for snorkelling, kayaking and relaxing. To get there you will have to tack up Boon Channel which is great fun. Hike up to the top of Great Bird Island and get great views of both the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea and watch the birds having fun in the thermals. |
4 | Another beautiful island is your destination today – Green Island. This will be quite a long sail and you will be sailing around the north and west coast, so lots of new views to take in. Uninhabited and unspoiled Green Island is a great hideaway located just off the eastern coast of Antigua. This is a popular snorkelling and kite surfing destination. |
5 | A short sail to the historic English Harbour which was inscribed in 2016 as a UNESCO world heritage site and is home to Nelson’s Dockyard, a fully restored 18th-century working dockyard. In days gone by, Nelson would keep his fleet here and there is a museum dedicated to his memory and has some fascinating exhibits. We highly recommend heading ashore for dinner as there are lots of wonderful restaurants where you can sample some of the great local cuisines. |
6 | After a morning of exploring set sail to Carlisle Bay. This beautiful secluded cove is a perfect place to go snorkelling and swim with turtles. You may want to pop ashore to the exclusive resort for some cocktails before we you have your last delicious dinner on board. |
7 | A leisurely sail back into Jolly Harbour inside Cades Reef will give you a chance to take in the lovely views on last time. |
